In a plot of land on the perimeter of the town, and with only one aspect facing west, the building houses shops on the ground floor and nine residential units on the upper floors. The fringed, convex shape of the ground floor maximises the glass surfaces available for shops that face an internal area composed of footpaths amidst the vegetation. The residential spatial volume is shaped in accordance with principles of functionality and others based on energy or power requirements dictated by the orientation of the plot. Two factory bodies rise above the shop area, with different heights to ensure a complete illumination of the façades and permit a single unit on each floor. The shifting of vertical sliding wooden sun blinds installed at the outer edge of the terraces, establishes the necessary privacy for making use of the outside spaces, true gardens at high altitude available for the apartments.
